Would You be Friends with a Cactopus?
I am just finishing up the illustrations for a children’s book written by Amy Shaw for the MeeGenius book contest. The story is about a potted “plantimal” named Pat, who is half cactus and half octopus. All he wants is a friend, but his prickly body tends to drive people—and other creatures—away. The deadline for the contest is Sunday, October 31st and I have 3 interior pages left, plus the cover. This is the first page of the book. First prize is an iPad for each of us!
